Lunar Eclipse
Its been a while since I last posted a blog post without pictures, an actual blog entry as it were....Oh well mainly because I've been really busy recently probably, I will probably post more later....
I was reading This article on the BBC all about the upcoming lunar eclipse and one little thing struck me when I read this sentence:
"After Saturday's eclipse, the next to be seen over western Europe will take place on 21 February 2008, but in the middle of the night between 0300 GMT and 0400 GMT."
Mainly it was the "but in the middle of the night" that made me think, how many lunar eclipses occur in the daytime?
Even the BBCs own diagram and explanation of a lunar eclipse shows that lunar eclipses occur only at night:
TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE:
Occurs when Moon passes into Earth's shadow
since when has the moon, or anything at that pass through the Earth's shadow without being in the dark side of the Earth?
Just a thought....
