Dunsfold Wings and Wheels Saturday
Today has been a fantastic day at Dunsfold for the first day of the Wings and Wheels airshow, unfortunately the weather did not hold off for the whole day and we were treated to a couple of small rain showers but the clouds made a great backdrop for the aircraft and we were treated to a great airshow. The forecast for tomorrow is looking promising, so here is hoping for another great day out! Here are just a handful of images I have had time to look at since getting home this evening:
Gerlad Cooper flies along the crowd line whilst wowing the crowd at the 2011 Dunsfold Wings and Wheels airshow with his amazing aerobatic display in his new Sbach 300.
Golden Apple's North American F-86A Sabre roars through a darkening sky whilst displaying at the Dunsfold Wings and Wheels 2011 airshow.
A Hawker Sea Fury T.20 and Hawker Hunter F.58A perform a flypast at the Dunsfold Wings and Wheels airshow to honour the Hawker heritage at the airfield, as both these aircraft have strong ties to Dunsfold Aerodrome.
Three Hawker Hunters of Team Viper perform a high speed flypast towards the end of their display at the opening day of the 2011 Dunsfold Wings and Wheels Airshow.
O’Brien’s Flying Circus
Brendan O’Brien practices his display at Dunsfold Aerodrome on the day before the start of the Wings and Wheels airshow.
Captured
A member of the Home Guard stands guard over a captured Me-109 while two P-51 Mustangs patrol the skies overhead.
Just one shot so far from last weekend's RAFA Shoreham Airshow, I still have quite a few photos to work through from a very busy weekend. But for now here is one which stood out for me.
I will get a full photo post up as soon as I can!
Miss Demeanour
Jonathon "Flapjack" Whaley tears around the bottom of Beachy Head in his Hawker Hunter "Miss Demeanour" as he runs in to start his display at the 2011 Eastbourne Airbourne International Airshow.
Just one shot so far from the 2011 Eastbourne Airbourne International Airshow, this was taken on the Sunday of the airshow. I have only managed to get a few shots processed so far, there are a handfull on my Flickr but a full photo post will be coming here soon!
