Quick Quiz Round 1

This is the first round I wrote for a quick quiz a little while ago, this round is a connection round which are always good fun. This one was a little bit tougher on my audience than I anticipated and only 2 of the 5 teams got the connection, see how you fair on this one.

Parachutes

Question 2: Which English term means literally “having learned much” when translated into Greek?
Polymath

Question 3: Which work of art holds the Guinness World Record for the highest known insurance valuation in history at US$100 million in 1962?

Question 5: Which 1991 American action comedy film starred Bruce Willis, who also co-wrote the story and the theme song? The film was panned and won 3 Golden Raspberry Awards for Worst Director, Worst Screenplay and Worst Picture.
Hudson Hawk

Connection: Leonardo Da Vinci.
Running through the questions, Leonardo Da Vinci invented the Parachute, he was a Polymath, he painted the Mona Lisa, he was born in Vinci in Tuscany, and the plot of Hudson Hawk involves Leonardo da Vinci’s artwork (and if you haven’t seen the film, that’s all you need to know about it).

I seem to have lost all the sources I used on this round as in my notes all I have left is https:// in my sources, so I guess you will have to resort to Google for this one!
